Taken here a part of my birthday treat. Lovely Old-fashioned room - enormous and very comfortable. Bathroom also large (good shower although you have to climb over a fairly high bath rim to get in). Excellent continental breakfast with local produce and homemade jam. Great welcome from our hostess. This, I guess, must have been the old village Manor House. Only quibble would be the lack of double glazing (are they a listed building?) - caused us no issues however.

Absolutely fabulous stay at Dalton House. Couldn't fault a single thing. Diana was a lovely host and we even met sparky the Jack Russell! The room and bathroom were beautiful and very comfortable. We looked forward to the breakfast every morning which contained cereal, toast, fruit, Yoghurt and pastries, was absolutely delicious! Will definitely endeavour to go back and highly recommend to anyone.

Stayed here after an afternoon tea at Matfen Hall and a few hours shopping in Corbridge. What a great find. The best B&B we've ever stayed in. A very warm welcome being shown to an excellent huge, warm comfortable room. The breakfast had it all. Definitely no corners cut her. We will return.

If you don't mind dogs and a continental breakfast then it's a good choice. The shared bathroom is not ideal as a on suite and a hall door combines bathroom. Quiet B road farmhouse building nice for fresh air walks. Very friendly hoastess. 15 minutes from Newcastle Town centre.
