Fox and Hare Holidays - The Fox’s Den

The Fox's Den is a shepherds hut designed for two people, with everything contained on one level: a bedroom with a kingsize bed, a shower room, and an open-plan living area where cooking and relaxing happen in the same space. The kitchen is properly equipped—you can cook from scratch if you want to, or simply heat things up. A woodburner means the hut stays warm through cooler months, and there's a smart TV with Netflix for quieter evenings.

Outside is where the property distinguishes itself. A private decked area holds the hot tub (capacity for three), garden furniture, and a firepit. You have parking for two cars on site, and a free public car park nearby if needed. Inside, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included, as is WiFi. The hut is yours alone—no other guests, no shared facilities. Smoking is not permitted.

This works for couples after a couple of nights away, or single travellers wanting space and quiet. Ponteland itself has shops and cafes; Newcastle's restaurants, galleries and nightlife are a short drive. The surrounding countryside offers walks and villages to explore.
