About easyHotel Newcastle

For anyone after a straightforward, affordable base rather than a fussy stay, easyHotel Newcastle does the job. This is a hotel built for city breaks on a budget, quick overnight stops, or trips where the room is simply a place to sleep between exploring the city centre - it sits close to the Quayside, Tyne Bridge and Newcastle Castle, all within easy reach on foot.

The 104 rooms are compact and functional, each with an en-suite bathroom, air conditioning and free WiFi, with accessible rooms and a lift also available. Don't expect extras - some basic amenities that fuller-service hotels provide are missing here, so it suits guests who travel light and don't need much beyond a clean, comfortable room. Staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful, and luggage storage is on hand for early arrivals or late departures.

There's no parking on site, so this works best for those arriving by train or on foot rather than by car. Pubs, restaurants and other eateries are all nearby, along with entertainment options, and golf and fishing can be found within reach for those wanting to venture a little further. It's a practical, well-placed choice for a simple stay in Newcastle at a fair price.

The price was amazing and we didn't stay long so it was exactly what we needed. But the room was pretty dirty with cigarettes butts and dirt on the windowsill. Also the window in our room didn't open so you couldn't really let any fresh air in. The service was great and receptionists are there 24/7 and the area felt safe enough and it was perfect for exploring Newcastle.

Stayed here a couple of times in the last year and have been more than pleasantly suprised at the value and comfort of the rooms you get for you money! Location is ideal, rooms are simple, clean & perfect for anyone looking to save some money on a night out in Newcastle.. staff are welcoming and friendly & happy to help with anything you needs! On 2 of the 3 occasions I’ve stayed here I had the pleasure of meeting ‘shabz’ who worked on front desk, friendliest & kindest person going! Had an issue coming back to the hotel one morning about 6am after a seriously heavy night out and had lost phone/wallet/keys etc.. she went above and beyond to make sure I was good, let me use her own phone to go on find my and see where it was, bought me a coffee, let me use desk phone to contact family to inform them of situation, extended checkout time & genuinely did everything she could to help under the circumstances without any obligation too!. Honestly after meeting her I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Newcastle!

Stayed for just 6 hours as a last minute stop-off and honestly couldn't fault it. Room was clean, quiet and exactly what you need for a budget stay. Staff were genuinely lovely and welcoming. Location is great too. Only one tiny thing — a hair in the shower that wasn't mine 👀 — but that aside, spotless. Would absolutely stay again. Does exactly what it says on the tin. Perfect for solo travellers or anyone needing a no-fuss base in Newcastle. ⭐ Aaron and Shebz where really accomidating and helpful ✨️
