About Travelodge Newcastle Quayside

A cooked breakfast with meal deal options and an on-site bar make Travelodge Newcastle Quayside a straightforward base for a night on the Quayside, with a restaurant also on hand for those who'd rather not head out. The hotel sits close to the Tyne Bridge, with easy reach of the Metro, shopping and the area's bars and restaurants.

There are 120 rooms across four floors, many looking out over the River Tyne, and all fitted with en-suite bathrooms and air conditioning. Accessible rooms are available, along with a lift, 24 hour reception and drinks available in room. Facilities are kept fairly simple rather than extensive, so this suits guests after a comfortable, no-fuss stay rather than a full-service resort experience.

Chargeable on-site parking is available, protected by barrier and ANPR, and vehicles need to be registered at reception. There's also an electric vehicle charge point on site, and pets are welcome. With pubs, restaurants and entertainment all nearby, the hotel works well as a well-priced stopover for exploring Newcastle's Quayside.

Great location, and the room we got had a lovely view overlooking the River Tyne. So far, every room we’ve stayed in here has been really good. My boyfriend often books this hotel whenever work brings him to Newcastle, and it never disappoints. The only downside is the limited parking spaces and slightly awkward layout. On the plus side, there’s a dine-in restaurant on site that stays open late if you fancy a pint 🍺 The crew are also really friendly and welcoming, which always makes the stay even better.

SUMMARY: Was worth the price for the room, NOT HAPPY ABOUT HAVING TO PAY TO GET INTERNET. NO CELL PHONE SERVICE.) Hotel is at the bottom of the hill, along the quay and banks of the Tyne river. NO CELL SERVICE ON FIRST 2 FLOORS, BE PREPARED TO BUY THEIR INTERNET SERVICE (RIDICULOUS AT THIS DAY AND TIME). Good location to get a few quayside pubs, restaurants. Long uphill walk to get anywhere else. Good room, Was clean and quiet. Windows don't open so no fresh air at all. 2 minute walk to restaurants for breakfastr, lunch and dinner. Friendly Staff. Clean Room, Clean Hotel. Picture of a family room.

A few weeks back I stayed at this hotel and wanted to leave a review to recognise the excellent customer service we received from Lewis on reception. From the moment we checked in, he was welcoming, polite, and extremely professional. I noticed his name badge straight away because his friendly attitude and positive manner really stood out. He was very well presented in his uniform and made us feel comfortable and valued as guests from the start. Later on in the evening at around 7:35pm, there were a few issues upstairs with quite a lot of noise, so I rang down to reception. Lewis came up promptly and handled the situation very professionally and calmly. He dealt with the matter efficiently and respectfully, which we really appreciated, especially later in the evening when you just want to relax. It’s rare to come across customer service that genuinely leaves a lasting impression, but Lewis is a real credit to the hotel. His professionalism, communication skills, and approachable nature did not go unnoticed. Thank you again for making our stay a much more pleasant experience. – Janice

Good little travelodge. Attentive and helpful staff, abs good breakfast. Bar is open late due drinks and good choice of food on the menu for dinner and light snacks later in the evening. Nice wallk along the river immediately behind the hotel. Walkable distance to town but requires climbing a lot of stairs or steep hills, but an uber is only around £7 if you don't want the climb. Had an issue with the heating however the team were great in finding a quick and effective solution.
