We absolutely love staying at Grand Hotel Gosforth Park. The Racecourse is so close that you can walk to the course, If you are not a racing fan, Tynemouth, Whitley Bay , North and South Shields are just 20 mins drive away. The Hotel has all the that you require, Top class leisure facilities, fantastic dining room, Bar etc, all fully staffed with the best friendly people ever!!!! Jay was extra special, Hard working young man, nothing was a problem to him, tentative and professional. Reception also had wonderful staff too, Annie, Rebecca! We have stayed 3 days , don't want to leave!!!! We highly recommend Grand Hotel!!!!

I found this place after a lovely lady recommended it when I had to leave another café because I couldn’t get the Wi-Fi working for remote work. I’m so glad I came here! The café is spotlessly clean, has a lovely calm atmosphere and is the perfect place to work. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and they even brought my drinks over while I was getting my laptop set up, which was a really thoughtful touch. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly, I managed to get plenty of work done, and the whole experience was relaxing from start to finish. Hotel lobby is lovely! But once you’re In your room it all changes. The rooms were dingy, dusty, dirty and VERY outdated. Pillows were crusty with ‘mysterious’ stains… bathroom was minging, toilet seat cracked, bath full of rust and mould. Bedroom walls were covered in stains. Dead insects on windowsill. Screws hanging from ceiling tiles. Wouldn’t recommend at all, maybes our room was a one off but I definitely wouldn’t pay again to find out.

We stayed here for 6 days, the place was clean, the food was great and the staff gave great service! Anytime we needed anything like extra toilet rolls, bin bags or towels, they provided them straight away, we went down to the pool a few times a day so needed a towel change quite frequently and they had no problem with that! A person I would like to mention would be Andy who works at the reception desk, he was very polite and professional, he took time to speak to us every time we walked passed and made sure we was comfortable. The bar and restaurant was amazing, they had loads of options and there was also a Starbucks in the bar! great hotel and would definitely recommend to anyone!
