About Rooms Inn

Free on-site parking is a rare find this close to the centre of Newcastle upon Tyne, and it's one of the more useful things Rooms Inn has going for it. Set on West Parade, the hotel puts guests within easy reach of the city's attractions and transport links, with 53 rooms offering en-suite bathrooms, drinks on hand, and family rooms for those travelling with children.

Rooms tend to be quiet and the beds comfortable, and staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful. Breakfast is served on a grab-and-go basis, which suits early starts, though some rooms have been reported as tired or not always well kept, so it's worth bearing in mind if a polished finish matters to you. Free WiFi and an electric vehicle charge point round out the practical facilities.

Outside the hotel, there's a golf course, entertainment, and a choice of pubs and restaurants nearby, making it a straightforward base for exploring Newcastle without paying city-centre prices. It's a hotel that works well for guests who want value and convenience over frills.

🌹Very kind and helpful staff! 🌹 😊 We let them know in advance that we’d arrive earlier than check‑in time, and they kindly allowed us to leave our luggage there — such a nice gesture. 🪴The room we got was spacious, and the bathroom was spotless. There’s a hairdryer, but no mini‑fridge (not a problem, just mentioning it). 🪴 The area is quiet, Lidl is about a 30‑minute walk, and the city centre around 20 minutes. Great value for money — definitely recommend!🗯️

Arrived as part of a group booking with many folk sharing rooms. These were booked as such, but when entering the room it was a one double bed with a pull out sofa bed, this would be fine, but the sofa bed had no bedding and was dirty and the mattress flimsy. When I requested bedding I was told this was an extra fee of £20. Staff in the morning was friendly, but the rooms were nothing like the photos and the hospitality by some of the staff was severely lacking. Only positive is that it's close to the centre of town.

Its the staff that make this location a hidden gem. Great value, especially since its so close to the city centre and tourist attractions. Quiet area Comfortable bed, clean room and washroom. Special shoutout to the reception team! They went above and beyond for me. Big thanks to the housekeeping team that ensured I had everything I needed, when i asked. Keep up the great work!

I booked a room here for two nights for my son and his girlfriend but the obnoxious little man on reception would not let them stay as my son did not have any identification, I booked the room through booking. Com but it wasn't till after I booked it the hotel sent me a message saying you need identification ,this hotel is probably a 1 star if that, and is a little backstreet hotel in a very rough area, the little obnoxious man on reception needs to brush up on his customer service skill as he did not have any
