As someone originally from the Philippines who loves travelling around the UK, I’ve stayed in quite a few Travelodges over the years. I can honestly say that the Travelodge at Newcastle Cobalt Business Park is a real gem. The location is excellent, providing easy access to both Newcastle and the beautiful Northumberland coastline, making it a perfect base for exploring the region. What really stood out to me was the warm and welcoming atmosphere from the moment I arrived until the moment I left. The staff were some of the friendliest and most helpful people I have come across during my travels in the UK. A special thank you to Kevan, Lynne and Laura, who did a fantastic job of looking after me and made me feel genuinely welcome throughout my stay. The room was spotless, fresh, and comfortable, and I enjoyed one of the best night’s sleeps I’ve had in a hotel for a long time. The breakfast was excellent, and it was great to have pizzas available throughout the day and evening as a convenient dining option. Overall, a wonderful stay with excellent service, comfortable accommodation, and a fantastic location. I would happily stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Newcastle or Northumberland.

The positive is that there was no problem with parking. And the bed is always comfortable in Travelodge. But the toilet was dirty (the cubicle) and we had to ask for it to be cleaned which should have been done by the staff before our arrival. Also the carpets were not hoovered and it was kind of obvious to me. So, that has spoiled our experience. We only stayed one night. Breakfast was good and convenient to be able to have it on site.

We ended up staying at the Travelodge by complete accident. We came back from holiday and our house key broke and we were completely stranded and unable to get that sorted until the next day. After a horrendous experience at the village hotel. We finely found this hotel at 2am. The woman here was really nice and helpful and we got pretty much got sorted quickly and a room booked. I'm sorry I don't know your name but we were chatting about toblerones. Thank you so much for helping us and being empathetic to our plight. It had been a very stressful night. The room was great and we managed to get some sleep as the beds were super comfortable and the room was nice and cool, thank god for Aircon as it had been a hot day. The price was very reasonable too.
