Rivendell

Rivendell works well for larger groups—families, extended relatives or friends gathering for a week together. The four bedrooms across two floors sleep eight, with two bathrooms to share the morning routine. Ground-floor space keeps younger children and less mobile guests near the main living area, where patio doors open onto the gardens; upstairs, bedrooms include a double with a Juliet balcony overlooking the water. Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are included, plus Wi-Fi to stay connected.

The open-plan kitchen and living room sit at the heart of things, with room to cook properly or gather around the television and games. A utility room handles washing and drying, and travel cots, a highchair and stairgate are on hand if needed. Outside, lawned gardens front and back provide space to spread out, with a small patio and furniture already there. Private parking fits three cars on site. The location puts you steps from Lamlash beach, with the village's shops, restaurants and bars nearby, plus a golf club and play park within walking distance. Note that the garden access involves two steps.
