Chalky Blue

Chalky Blue suits couples after a quiet break, families needing space to spread out, and anyone who wants the sea practically on their doorstep. The two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment is on one level, so there are no stairs once you're inside. One bedroom has a double bed with its own ensuite; the other has two singles. The living space is open plan, with doors onto a veranda and patio where you can sit with a view across the water. Electricity, heating, wi-fi, bed linen and towels are all included, and one well-behaved pet stays free.

The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking—electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher and all the basics. Bad weather won't trap you: there's a smart TV, and the hallway gives you room to dump wet gear or hang wetsuits to dry. One dog or small pet can come along; the coastal footpath is metres away, perfect for daily walks.

The harbour is less than 100 metres off, with restaurants, pubs, fish and chips shops, and independent businesses lining the water. Beaches for swimming or surfing are equally close. The apartment itself sits eight steps up from street level and backs onto the coast path with a sheer drop beyond the garden wall.
