The Penthouse

Walk into The Penthouse and you step straight into an open-plan living space on the second floor. The layout keeps things simple: one continuous area where you cook, eat and sit together, with a woodburner for cold evenings and a smart TV for downtime. Large windows pull the sea view into every room. Both bedrooms are positioned at the rear—the master with a king bed and roll-top bath in its ensuite, the second with a double bed and its own shower room.

The kitchen has what you need for self-catering: a range, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and coffee machine. Biomass central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are all included, along with initial logs for the woodburner. You get a dedicated parking space on site and the grounds have garden furniture (shared with other apartments here). One dog can stay free. The property does not allow smoking.

Saunton Sands stretches out below, backed by dunes and nature reserves. The beach is within easy reach; Westward Ho and the Taw–Torridge estuaries are visible from above. This is serious coastal walking country, and a quieter stretch than busier Devon seaside spots.
