Acorn Cottage is a converted barn sleeping four on a small working farm in rural North East Derbyshire, between Ashover village and the Peak District. The owners have equipped it thoroughly: a kitchen with electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher and washing machine means you can cook properly, while the woodburner in the living room keeps things warm on colder nights. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and heating are all included, along with logs for the stove. One dog stays free.
Downstairs there's a living room with smart TV and DVD player, a separate dining room, kitchen, sun room with garden access, and a double shower room. Upstairs are two bedrooms—one with a double bed, one with two singles—plus a bathroom with a bath. The enclosed garden has a lawn, established shrubs, garden furniture and a barbecue. Private parking for two cars is on site, and there's an EV charging point available at additional cost. A pub is within a mile.
The cottage suits families, couples and groups looking for a base to explore Derbyshire or simply relax in the countryside. Smoking, vaping and naked flames are not permitted. The owners also sell breakfast packs made from their own sausages, bacon, eggs and honey.

Lovely well-equipped cottage in quiet countryside, within easy travelling distance of many NT properties and southern Peak District walks. Very well recommended

Stayed here during Covid 2 years ago and nothing was too much. Made to feel welcome. The older teenagers really enjoyed their stay as well even with it being off grid. Wifi was available but mainly only in the kitchen due to the thickness of the walls. Highly recommend this place.
