The Lade

A single-storey cottage built on practical lines, The Lade sits in Kilsyth with everything on one level. You enter through a fully enclosed garden—useful if you're travelling with a dog, which stays free—and step into an open-plan living space where the kitchen and lounge flow together. The bedroom holds a double bed, and there's a shower room with WC. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and WiFi are included in the rent.

The kitchen comes properly fitted: electric cooker, hob, oven, microwave, fridge-freezer and washing machine mean you can cook from scratch or do laundry if you're staying longer. An electric fire warms the lounge. There's parking for one car on site and a back garden. No smoking indoors.

Location-wise, the Campsie Fells are within reach for hill walking and outdoor pursuits. The cottage works as a base for that, or as a stopover if you're passing through North Lanarkshire and need somewhere for a night or two.
