Filey House
North Norfolk
Filey House is a substantial Victorian-era semi-detached cottage in the heart of Sheringham, built with the solid character of its period but thoroughly modernised inside. Four bedrooms across three floors accommodate up to nine guests: three doubles, one with an ensuite, plus a further single and day bed on the top floor. There are three bathrooms, so multiple families or groups can manage without tension. The staircase is narrow and steep in places, and the top floor is reached via an open spiral stair.
The ground floor holds a spacious kitchen and dining room with everything needed to cook properly—electric oven, dishwasher, microwave—plus a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer tucked away. The living spaces include a Smart TV and entertainment setup. Upstairs, every bedroom has its own Freeview television. Essentials like bed linen, towels, heating and wifi are included. There is parking for one car on site, with additional street parking nearby, and one well-behaved pet is welcome.
The property opens onto a south-facing courtyard garden with patio and seating. The beach is a straightforward walk away, shops and pubs are equally close, and the surrounding area suits bird watchers, coastal walkers and families equally well. The North Norfolk Railway and Splash Fun Water Park are within reach. Please note that smoking is not permitted.
