The Hideaway

The Hideaway is a compact ground-floor cottage in Wells-next-the-Sea, built with everything on one level. It comprises a double bedroom, shower room, and an open-plan living space that combines kitchen, dining and sitting areas into one room. The bedroom has a TV and DVD player; the living area has a larger smart screen. A utility room contains a washer-dryer for longer stays.

The kitchen is equipped to cook proper meals, with electric oven and hob, a combi microwave-oven-grill, dishwasher and fridge. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included. The main draw is the enclosed lawned garden with patio and furniture—a genuine private outdoor space in a coastal town. The beach lies 200 yards away; the high street with its shops, pubs and restaurants just slightly further. Street parking is available about 50 yards from the door.

This is a two-person property. One well-behaved pet is welcome. The cottage does not allow smoking. It suits couples looking for a quiet base within reach of the Norfolk coast, and is positioned to explore everything from Sheringham Park to the Norfolk Broads without a long drive.
