Easy access from the A1 or A19 ideal for anyone new to towing a caravan. Lovely small well laid out site, quiet, peaceful & relaxing within easy distance to York by Park & Ride, local bus or very reasonable taxi. A huge thankyou to Lisa who made us feel really welcome from start to finish. Will certainly be returning in the future

My daughter and I bought our first tent on Gumtree. I’m in mid seventies . This site was almost halfway between her London home and my Scottish home. We had a ball. Managed to get the tent up and stayed two nights. The site was fab, small clean and perfect. Lisa was very helpful. We are now camping converts and will definitely return!

Great wee campsite. Nice hot showers and free WiFi reached our tent. We were cheeky and used the plugs in toilets to charge our phones. We liked that the bike lock station had a roof to keep bikes dry. 20 minute cycle along scenic river-path to centre of York.

This lovely, well-managed small site is perfect for cycling or catching the bus into York. There’s a beautiful traffic-free cycle route all the way into York city centre which starts about 200m along the country lane from the site. The Tarmac route runs through woods and meadows and for much of the 4 miles hugs the bank of the River Ouse. It’s mostly flat and on some sections the surface has recently been upgraded. You can cycle all the way to the National Railway Museum in complete safety! The bus stop about 150m away has an hourly service into York. The shower block is modern and spotlessly clean.
