Belle Vue Cabin
North Yorkshire
Whitby's clifftop setting on the Yorkshire Heritage Coast puts you between three miles of golden sand and the North York Moors. Belle Vue Cabin sits a short walk from the town centre, close enough for fish and chips or an evening in one of the local pubs, far enough to feel removed from the bustle. The cabin itself is ground floor throughout, with an open-plan living area, a kitchen fitted for proper cooking, one bedroom with a kingsize bed, and a bathroom with a bath and shower.
The bedroom's wooden walls and ceiling give the space the feel of a ship's cabin—a neat nod to Whitby's maritime heritage and Captain Cook. Essentials including heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are covered; wi-fi is provided. A utility room (accessed via steps) houses a washing machine and bike storage, useful if you plan to tackle the Cinder Track or the Cleveland Way, which runs along the clifftops and dips into hidden villages like Staithes and Runswick Bay. Parking is on road or in a public car park 50 yards away. No smoking inside.
Two people will find plenty to do within walking distance. Beyond the immediate attractions—the beach, the town's restaurants and independent shops—the North York Moors and further stretches of coast are within easy reach for day trips.
