Bramble Cottage started life as a farm building and has been converted into a rural retreat on a working mixed arable farm just outside Harrogate. The cottage is one of two on the property, set apart with its own garden and parking. One dog is welcome here, though must be kept on a lead as there is livestock nearby. The setting is quiet and peaceful, with open views across farmland, and the area draws birdwatchers keen to spot red kites, curlews and lapwings.
The single bedroom has a super king-size bed and TV. Downstairs, an open-plan living room and kitchen flows into a breakfast area, with patio doors leading to the garden. The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking—electric oven, hob, microwave and full-size fridge-freezer—and there is a shower room with heated towel rail. Underfloor heating powered by biomass keeps the cottage warm through cooler months. Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are included. A shared utility room has a washing machine, tumble dryer and storage for bikes and equipment.
Ripley village is a 15-minute walk away and has a butcher, deli, pub and post office, plus Ripley Castle with its grounds and summer events. Harrogate town centre—with theatre, cinema, restaurants and shops—is a 10-minute drive. The Yorkshire Dales are within easy reach for exploring. Smoking is not permitted in the cottage.
