About Warner Nidd Hall Hotel

Harrogate's surrounding countryside offers plenty to fill the days, with walking routes and fishing spots within easy reach, plus local pubs and restaurants for those who fancy a change from the hotel's own dining room. Warner Nidd Hall Hotel makes a comfortable base for exploring this part of North Yorkshire, set within its own landscaped grounds that guests are free to wander between activities.

Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, and the hotel runs a 24 hour reception alongside free on-site parking, so arrivals at any hour are straightforward. On-site facilities stretch to a gym, an indoor swimming pool and a spa with sauna, giving guests plenty to do without leaving the grounds, and there's a bar for evening drinks and entertainment.

The restaurant serves a wide range of dishes, including breakfast options and carvery dinners, with generous portions a regular feature; some guests have found the food arrives less hot than they'd like, though the variety and quality are well regarded. Staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful, and the grounds are kept in good order throughout the stay.

Very dissappointed with maintence issues and cleanliness of room 21, first thing we saw was the poor job of replacement electric radiator ,whoever decided this was the way forward without a plan as to what was behind the old radiator ,the whole wall needs to be decorated and this room should not be occupied until then .The radiator covers in hallways have been adapted to fit the new radiators i would have thought that should wait until the rooms are sorted The radiator in the bathroom had thick dust where the towels were and on skirting board ,this was quickly sorted out by 2 lovely ladies from housekeeping . The other pictures are of the shabby windows with rotten windowsills outside and putty fallen out ,we didnt dare open them incase they fell out and the broken sashes in the bathroom we probably couldnt . A fly stayed on the windowsill all our stay ,but bearing in mind the team only have 8 mins to service your room its no wonder ,we even made our beds and hung our towels properly to save her time . Food was same menu in Brasserie as Heythrop in Jan26 ,would think menus need to be changed more often . The history talk was good Entertainment was changed from Rob Linacre to his son as sadly he isnt well . But different genre ,not Matt Monroe ,K Lo was fantastic though ,to much sequence and line dancing lessons every evening would have liked a comedian like Heythrop . Not sure we will return to Warners as standards have fallen since we first went 20+ yrs ago, Nidd Hall drive greets you with pot holes before you get through the entrance . I did discuss the issues i found but nothing was done to resolve the radiator mess, the public rooms are nice though . At Heythrop we had a lovely room but there were 2 huge stains like hair dye on the carpet ,again nothing done surely whoever did it should have been charged for damage . Warners now that they belong to Blackstone need to up their game and return to the littke extras that made it good ,fresh milk ,decent entertainment ,higher standard of cleanliness and decor in the rooms

Had a wonderful time at Nidd Hall. Myself n 2 couples went to celebrate my friends 60th. It was a beautiful sunny weekend, so sitting out having a Pimms was great. Looking over fab view of the garden, with a young lady sing, both Friday and Saturday. Loads of games in the garden; crocket, tennis, volleyball, skittles, chess, bowling and more. You can book several other activities some chargable. Free swimming in the clean warm indoor pool. Food was very, very nice. Great choice. Entertainment also very good. We had a great saturdnighg dancing to the band. Bedroom clean, good size, decorated nicely. Bed just a bit too firm n not very comfortable pillows for me. It was my 3rd visit and will be going back. It does tend to be older people, but doesn't mean to say they aren't fun.

Lovely place with fantastic grounds and views. Room was nice with plenty of wildlife outside. Food was OK but not exactly fine dining but they do make a cracking poached egg! Some nice old rooms to relax in and I particularly liked the library and the quaint old church opposite. Entertainment was not very good and alcohol was quite overpriced. Overall it was pretty good but certainly catered for the more mature clientele.
