Ripley Caravan Park occupies a peaceful spot on the edge of one of North Yorkshire's prettiest estate villages, built around Ripley Castle and its cobbled market square. Run by the same family for decades, it's a smaller, more intimate alternative to the area's larger holiday parks—spacious touring pitches for caravans and motorhomes are laid out on level, well-kept grass, with electric hook-up throughout and modern shower and toilet facilities. Dogs are welcome, and the compact scale makes this an easy, unfussy base rather than a resort-style destination. A two-bedroom cottage and static holiday homes offer fixed accommodation for those who prefer it.
The location is excellent for exploring: Harrogate's shops, Turkish Baths and Bettys are a short drive south, while Knaresborough's riverside gorge and castle ruins, and Fountains Abbey are all within easy reach. The village itself has a handful of pubs and shops within walking distance, and seasonal pitches attract a loyal following of regulars who return year after year.

We’ve just come back from a stay at Ripley Caravan Park and honestly, we couldn’t have asked for more. From the moment we arrived, the team were incredibly welcoming and helpful—nothing was too much trouble, and it really set the tone for the whole trip. It’s always those little touches that make a big difference, and they absolutely nailed it. The facilities were fantastic. The swimming pool was a huge hit with the kids (and us!), and the playground kept them entertained for hours—safe, clean, and plenty for them to do. It made the whole stay feel relaxing for us as parents too. Location-wise, it was perfect. We were ideally placed to get out and explore the local area, with plenty to see and do nearby, which made the trip even more special. All in all, we had an amazing time and made some brilliant family memories. We’ll definitely be planning a return trip—no question about it!

A great site for Ripley castle, just a short walk through the field at the entrance.....Tbh, not much to see at the castle, but the walk around the lake is fantastic.(no dogs).

We have really enjoyed our Caravan stay here. Originally booked for 4 nights but added an extra 3 which was no problem. Loads to do in the local area. Staff are really friendly. The dog was totally chilled despite the attention of the local duck population. We will return.
