Cobblestones sits on the cobbled street that runs through Whitby's historic heart, from the swing bridge at the harbour to the foot of the 199 Steps leading up to the abbey. Built in 1785 as a fisherman's cottage and Grade II listed, it retains original features—wooden beams, winding stairs—alongside updated bathrooms and a working kitchen. The setting means independent shops, cafés and the town's main attractions are outside your door.
The cottage sleeps six across three floors: a double and ensuite on the second floor, two singles and a family bathroom on the first, and a further two singles on the third. The ground floor opens into a living room with a smart TV; below that, the kitchen-diner has a gas cooker, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer, plus an electric woodburner for atmosphere. Essentials are provided—bed linen, towels, wi-fi and heating—and one dog stays free. There's a public car park nearby at additional cost. Smoking is not permitted.
Tate Hill beach, where Dracula is said to have arrived in Bram Stoker's novel, lies less than 100 yards away. The harbour, marina and abbey ruins are all within easy reach on foot.
