Swallows Nest is a former barn on Ellis Close Farm, converted to retain original character while offering modern comfort. Ground-floor layout means no stairs: a living room with an electric woodburner opens onto a patio, a kitchen/dining space with a dishwasher and washing machine, two bedrooms (one double with ensuite, one with twin singles), and a family bathroom. The property sits on a working farm in the North York Moors National Park, with 30 acres of grounds shared with the owners and other properties on-site. One dog is welcome, though it must be kept on a lead throughout—the beck runs through the grounds 600 yards away.
Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included. There's private parking for two cars, a patio garden, a children's play area (shared), and a barbecue. A travel cot and highchair are available. The location suits walkers and cyclists exploring the moors or heading towards the Heritage Coast and Scarborough; shops, a pub and restaurant are three miles away. Check-in is after 15:00 and checkout before 10:00. No smoking indoors.

Came here for a weekends walking in January, very clean, great location, woke up to horses next to the garden, great selection of Disney VHS.

What a lovely and peaceful location. The bungalow was well looked after, clean and welcoming. The owner even supplied fruit and eggs which were waiting for us on our arrival. My wife and I would certainly stay here again.

Everything as described, lovely cottages however the promised call to see if everything is ok once we arrived never happened (which is not a real problem, but don't need to promise then), the second room never heats up (which is an issue with a toddler) and also an unpleasant response to a nice message about the dishwasher makes it a 3 star and leaves me with a bad feeling, won't be returning because of the attitude.

Stayed here previously. Fabulous converted barn. Everything there that you could possibly need for your stay.
