Grosmont Villa

Grosmont Villa is a substantial stone house built in 1861, renovated throughout in 2020 while retaining period character. Over three floors, it has five bedrooms and four bathrooms, arranged to suit larger groups or two families travelling together. One dog stays free. The property sits within six acres of private woodland near the village, with countryside views across the Esk Valley, though still close enough to walk to local amenities.

The ground floor contains two reception rooms, each with its own woodburner and television. The kitchen and dining room features an Aga, dishwasher and space for communal meals; a utility room and separate toilet complete this level. Upstairs are three bedrooms with ensuite showers, each with a kingsize bed (one also has a single), plus two further bedrooms on the top floor, each with two singles. The main bathroom has a bath with overhead shower. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included.

The terraced garden overlooks the valley and has furniture and a picnic bench for outdoor meals. A large driveway accommodates five cars. The property sits on sections of both the Coast-to-Coast Walk and the Wainwright Way, making it a base for serious walkers. No smoking; hen and stag parties are not accepted.
