Small campground near Goathland with showers, holding around 20 pitches.
About Abbot's House Farm
Abbot's House Farm is a modest campground in Goathland, a village in the North York Moors near Whitby. It operates on a small scale with roughly 20 pitches, making it an intimate site rather than a sprawling operation. The limited size means it tends to feel quieter and less crowded than larger commercial parks.
The site offers showers as its main facility. With so few pitches, this is the kind of place where you are likely to know your neighbours by the end of the stay. The Goathland location puts you within reach of the moors and close to Whitby's coast.

What visitors say
Amazing location, ran by a pleasant couple in Heartbeat country. Short walk to the train and bus station, and walking route straight up to the moors. Very dog friendly. Facilities are a basic setup but clean. Literally would just need a refurb inside as the hot water showers are a little temperamental, hence the 4/5. I stayed with EHU in the bottom paddock, which is all soft ground. There is a farm yard area to put the camper if your staying in winter and the yorkshire weather gets a bit too wet. All round, great campsite and will certainly stay again.

Gorgeous location, quiet, really dark skies at night so amazing views of the stars, with great access to some lovely walks and the railway. We stayed a couple of days and could have stayed longer the walking was perfect, site facilities in a barn are basic but absolutely perfect if you are looking for this sort of experience. Owners very welcoming.

This is a very basic site - facilities at the farm ran to 3 toilets and 2 showers - the shower ran for about 10sec and could not deliver anything approaching warm water. The hose to the water supply was ancient with no hoselock fitting - and no grey waste disposal. Its a narrow lane down to the farm then under the railway bridge - which looks too low to get under but was actually fine - must be c3.5m but not marked with a height - it would be fine if was £15 a night but its £34 with EHU - and that was very hit and miss when 2 motorhomes plugged in as only one trip! So we had to balance who was using what! Certainly a once in a lifetime experience - yes its quiet but not sure how they can charge this price for what is provided - guess because people will pay as we did! Location is easy 15 min walk to the village and right next to the railway - see view of site from the train
