Northallerton sits between the Yorkshire Dales and the North Yorkshire Moors, making it a natural base for exploring either landscape. Ham Hall Lane Cottages – Primrose is a converted barn on the edge of town, purpose-built for a quiet break away. The whole property is yours alone: one bedroom with a king bed, one bathroom, and a generous open-plan living space on the ground floor.
The living area centres on a wood burner and connects straight to the kitchen, where you can cook properly with an electric oven and hob, or simply make coffee and toast. A sofa converts into a double bed if you need extra sleeping space. The real draw is the en-suite bathroom: a Japanese soaking tub with coloured underwater lighting, underfloor heating, and a separate shower cubicle. There's also a cloakroom off the entrance. Outside, you have an enclosed lawned garden with patio and seating, plus private parking on site.
Electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included; the wood burner's initial fuel is provided. No smoking throughout. Spring House Farm Shop and Café is nearby if you want to pick up provisions without venturing far into town.
