West Ayton sits in rural North Yorkshire between the moors and coast, with Scarborough six miles away. Kimlin Cottage occupies a quiet spot on a working farm; the surrounding land has minimal light pollution and distant views towards Flamborough. Footpaths start from the property itself, making it a natural base for walking and cycling. The village has a shop, pub and restaurant within a mile and a half.
The cottage sleeps four across three bedrooms: a king on the ground floor, a double on the first floor, and a single accessed through that double room. Downstairs also has the bathroom, making it accessible for those with mobility concerns. The open-plan kitchen and living space includes a dishwasher, washing machine, and everything needed for self-catering. Wi-Fi, heating, bed linen and towels are provided. Outside, an enclosed patio with garden furniture is fenced off—useful for dogs, which stay free. There is parking on site. No smoking indoors.
The property suits people travelling with dogs; up to three small or medium dogs are welcome, and the enclosed garden and surrounding farm walks make it practical for pets. It is not suitable for babies or toddlers. Check-in is after 15:00 and checkout before 10:00.
