Kings Cottage sits on a single step into a ground-floor living room where a woodburner anchors the main gathering space, with a kitchen and dining area beyond. Upstairs are two bedrooms—one with a double bed, one slightly smaller—and a bathroom with shower over the bath. The cottage is stone-built, dating to the 1600s, and has been refurbished to mix period character with modern essentials: the kitchen has an electric oven and gas hob for proper cooking, a dishwasher and washer-dryer for practicality, and a smart TV with Freeview and Netflix for quiet evenings. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and electricity are all included, and initial logs for the stove are provided.
Giggleswick is a quiet village within reach of both the Yorkshire Dales National Park and the Forest of Bowland. The Black Horse Inn stands nearby for an easy walk to a pub. Settle market town lies under a mile away with shops, restaurants and tea rooms. Walkers will find the Three Peaks accessible for a day trip, while the Settle-Carlisle railway line—celebrated for the Ribblehead Viaduct—runs through the area. One dog can stay free and must be kept on a lead. The cottage does not suit children under 12. No smoking indoors. On-road parking is available nearby.
