North Yorkshire

Families and small groups will find Red Wood Lodge works well for a seaside break without the tied-down feeling of a caravan or tent. The lodge is yours alone on Lady Edith's Holiday Park, set within 52 acres of grounds and trees, yet only three miles from Scarborough's beaches. Ground-floor layout means everything is on one level: two bedrooms (one double, one with two singles), a bathroom with bath and shower, and an open-plan living space that includes a kitchen fitted with gas cooking, dishwasher and washing machine. A sofa bed in the living area provides extra sleeping room. The private hot tub is a genuine draw for couples or families wanting to unwind after a day out.

The park itself has a family bar and children's play area. Fishing permits for the nearby mere are available, and the woodland is good for walks. Scarborough delivers traditional seaside entertainment: two sweeping bays with sandy beaches, amusement arcades, theatres, Peasholm Park with its oriental gardens and boat hire, Scarborough Castle on the clifftop, and Alpamare waterpark with wave pool and heated outdoor swimming. The town has restaurants, cafés and shops strung along both seafronts. One dog is welcome to stay at no extra cost. Wi-Fi, heating, electricity and bed linen are all included; you'll need to bring no smoking into the property.

Absolutely lovely holiday park, lovely owner, who were there to show us our pitch and explained, what other services they do. We did a check online with different websites and was shown no availability for the 1 day stop over that we wanted. But when we phoned the Holiday Park direct, they were very happy to accommodate us. Fees and facilities are good, and the Internet was superb here, unlike some Parks that we have used, where the Internet is nearly non existent. Great location, lovely setting, friendly people and lots of options.

Lovely caravan site just outside scarboro but close enough to all the amenities. Toilets/showers were ok , shower on a 20p meter. Bar was nice, and reasonable. There was a take away food place which we used for breakfast unfortunately only open sat and sun, food did look nice though. Bank holiday so it was very busy quieter after and more suitable to hubby and me we'd come with the grandchildren so it ticked the boxes

Visited Lady Edith’s for the second time & definitely will be returning, first stay was just a group of us adults which we throughly enjoyed & second we returned with the kiddies. The site is in great location for days out and the staff are so friendly, welcoming & always happy to help, all areas are clean & tidy with shower & w/c facilities always spotless clean. Any problems staff are on hand and resolve in a timely manner. Site residents are all really friendly & happy to welcome guests to the site. Kids play park on site where the kids can go & play in total safety with a family friendly club house/bar close by where you can enjoy a drink or snack. Definitely recommend!!!
