Martinsgate Snug

North Yorkshire

View on Google Maps

Middlesmoor sits high in Nidderdale, a village where moorland, reservoir views and walking trails define the landscape. Martinsgate Snug is a single-storey studio built around 1850, set within this rural setting and designed for two people. The space combines bedroom, living area and kitchenette in one open plan, with an ensuite shower room and separate utility space. A king-size bed, electric heating, wifi and all the basics are included; parking is on the road or at a free public car park 110 yards away.

The kitchen has an electric hob, microwave and fridge-freezer, enough for self-catering. There is no television. The village itself is small and quiet; Pateley Bridge, five miles south, has shops, cafes and a museum covering Nidderdale's history. Longer walks follow the Nidderdale Way or moorland paths from the door. The ruins of Fountains Abbey lie further afield. Dogs are welcome and stay free. Smoking is not permitted.
