Ploughmans Cottage

The North York Moors and coastal Yorkshire are within reach of this converted barn on a working farm near Hawsker. Walking starts from the doorstep; the villages of Grosmont and Goathland, known for the steam railway and Heartbeat filming locations, make straightforward day trips. Sandy beaches at the coastal resorts nearby are easily accessible by car.

Ploughmans Cottage sleeps four across two bedrooms: one with a double bed upstairs, one with two singles on the ground floor. The bathroom has both a roll-top bath and a separate shower cubicle. Downstairs is an open-plan living and dining space with a kitchen equipped for self-catering—oven, hob, dishwasher and microwave included. You get wi-fi, heating and electricity covered; bed linen is provided. One well-behaved dog is welcome. There is parking for two cars on site and a paved patio with garden furniture, though this is shared with the adjoining cottage.

No smoking inside. The property can be booked alongside The Old Cartshed to sleep larger groups.
