Railway Sleepers takes its name from Whitby's train station, where heritage steam trains run through the summer months. The house itself is a characterful semi-detached property spread over three floors, within walking distance of the town centre and harbour. It sits in a residential street convenient for exploring both the coast and Whitby's seafaring history.
The ground floor holds a living room with a smart TV and wood-burner, plus a kitchen/dining room fitted with a gas oven, hob, dishwasher and American fridge freezer. Upstairs are two double bedrooms and a bathroom with bath and shower; a second floor bedroom contains three single beds for flexible sleeping. The house sleeps six and comes with bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and electricity included, plus initial fuel for the wood-burner. A travel cot, highchair and stairgate are available. Two private parking spaces are provided—unusual in Whitby—with additional on-street parking nearby.
Outside, an enclosed front garden with patio leads from the parking area, with flower beds through spring and summer. A rear yard has a shed for bikes and equipment. The house suits families and groups; there is no smoking throughout. Arrival is after 15:00 and departure before 10:00.
