The Merry Gull

Whitby is one of North Yorkshire's most visited coastal towns, drawing people to its harbour, beaches and clifftop walks. The Merry Gull sits within easy reach of all three: a short stroll to the water's edge, and closer still to the seafront. This Victorian townhouse has four bedrooms spread across three floors, sleeping up to eight, with two bathrooms and a kitchen equipped for serious cooking—oven, hob, dishwasher, washing machine and coffee maker all present. Two bedrooms contain kingsize beds; the other two have a pair of single beds each. The ground floor holds the living spaces: a sitting room with a wood burner (logs included), a dining room, and a bathroom with both bath and shower. Upstairs are the bedrooms and a second bathroom with a roll-top bath. A decked courtyard at the rear and a front garden come with the property, along with parking for one car.

The essentials—heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi—are covered. A travel cot, highchair and stairgates are available if needed. This is a family or couples' booking only; the property does not accept hen or stag parties. No smoking is permitted inside.
