Couples after a seaside break, or small families wanting a Whitby base without fuss, will find Robin's Rest practical and well-placed. The flat is all on one level, with a double bedroom, bathroom with shower over the bath, and a living room with a sofa bed for a third guest. The kitchen has an electric cooker, dishwasher and washer-dryer, so you can cook properly or travel light. Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are covered; if you're bringing a dog, it stays free and there are extras laid on for them. The enclosed courtyard has furniture for sitting out, and a parking permit for one car comes with the booking.
The flat sits steps from Whitby's town centre, where shops, pubs and restaurants line the streets within fifty yards. The beach is a quarter-mile away. From here you can explore the abbey and St Mary's church for their views over the town and coast, venture out on a pleasure cruise, or catch a steam train into the Yorkshire Moors. The Heritage Coast's smaller resorts—Robin Hood's Bay, Runswick Bay, Staithes—are within easy reach. Medieval York, with its Viking museum and railway heritage collections, is roughly an hour's drive. No smoking inside. Check-in is after 15:00, departure before 10:00.

Would love to keep this place secret. Such a lovely place and so dog friendly with bed, treats and toy box among many other things. We felt so at home right away and convenient for all the attractions in Whitby.

Just returned from Robin’s Rest having waited 2 years to go due to Covid restrictions. The wait was worth it! This ground floor flat is first class. It is bigger than it appears on the photos and everything you would ever need is in the flat. Even our dog was well looked after with treats, bowls, towels and bed to name a few things supplied. The welcome tray was excellent and much appreciated. The flat was warm and cosy even on very cold and windy days. It is in an excellent location near to shops, beach and with a view of ‘the abbey’ from just outside the flat. Just an excellent holiday home and we will recommend to family and friends.

Spacious one bedroom flat, within easy walking distance of Whitbys attractions, with all the equipment required for a comfortable break. Have stayed here 3 times now, always spotlessly clean. Latest visit in mid december, with the christmas tree and decorations up, a much appreciated extra.
