The Rounton sits in open countryside near Appleton Wiske, a few miles from Northallerton. This corner of North Yorkshire has the North York Moors on its doorstep—moorland walks, quiet country lanes, and villages like Hornby and Welbury all within reach. Northallerton itself offers market-town amenities, but here the focus is on rural peace.
The cabin is a single open-plan space on the ground floor. A double bedroom, living area with woodburner and smart TV, kitchen with electric cooking, and a walk-in shower room are all yours. Underfloor heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included. Outside, there's a private patio, parking for one car, and a hot tub for two. The cabin is non-smoking and does not accommodate children.
Pets stay free. This is the sort of place for a couple wanting their own space, with enough comfort—a proper bed, cooking facilities, a warm room—for a real break rather than roughing it.

Beautiful, quiet, relaxing weekend away. The guest book has some fantastic suggestions for some local farm shops and cafés. The pods are small but well designed. If you're using the hot tub take some extra towels with you! The only reason I've not given this 5 stars is because the mattress should have been replaced about 5 years ago, it was exceptionally uncomfortable. Everything else was brilliant and I would return... if the bed was better

Absolutely beautiful! We enjoyed every minute of our stay. The location is lovely, the pods are so cosy and warm and just so well equipped for such a small place! The hot tub just make it better. A nice welcome from Natalie. We will definitely be back. Mandy and mick

Booked a weekend for my wife's birthday. Absolutely beautiful place, spotlessly clean, everything you need is there, the quality and finish from outside to inside couldn't be better and the service and welcome from Natalie was second to none. We stayed an extra night and left early for work on the Monday and it was perfect. We will without doubt be back.

Absolutely lovely site! View is lovely too! Hosts were friendly and very helpful, they even leave a guest book with recommendations for local pubs too! Would definitely recommend and we will definitely be coming back again!
