Whitby's clifftop position and tangle of narrow streets make it one of the North Yorkshire coast's most distinctive towns. Sandpiper Cottage sits in the heart of the old quarter, close enough to the seafront that the beach is a one-minute walk away. This 18th-century terraced cottage is yours alone for the duration of your stay, with three bedrooms sleeping up to five guests across two floors.
The ground floor contains a lounge/diner and galley kitchen equipped for self-catering, while upstairs there are two double bedrooms and a single, plus a shower room. Original features—pine panelling, exposed beams, cast iron fireplaces—give the place character without fuss. Electricity, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are all included. One well-behaved pet is welcome.
This is a base for exploring the coast itself—the beach and harbour are minutes away—or the countryside beyond Whitby. The town has restaurants, pubs and shops within easy reach. No smoking inside the property.

Absolutely could not fault this B&B it was superb from day one the owners have a fantastic business the rooms are very clean and spacious the breakfasts are to die for and a great choice the owners are there to help and advise you and go above and beyond to help we have been to Whitby a few times an this B&B is most definitely 10/0 and is a must if you ever visit the area

Brilliant place Manetta and peter are fantastic hosts nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are great as is the location. Add to that the free guaranteed parking and its the perfect package, we have stayed there many times and it's always our first choice in whitby.

Sandpiper House is an outstanding B&B in Whitby. The breakfast is excellent, offering a variety of high-quality, delicious options. The hosts, Peter and Manetta, are incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring every guest feels at home. The central location, modern and beautiful rooms, and the added benefit of reserved parking make it an ideal place to stay. Highly recommended for a delightful and comfortable experience.
