You arrive at Sea Glass Cottage to find a private courtyard tucked behind a Victorian townhouse, sheltered from the street. Inside, the ground-floor layout is straightforward: a combined living and dining space with an electric fire and Smart TV opens directly onto the kitchen, which has a cooker, microwave and fridge. Up a couple of steps sits the kingsize bedroom with built-in storage, and another step leads to the ensuite shower room. Everything is contained on one level apart from those few internal steps. Wifi, heating, bed linen and towels are all provided.
Pannett Park is the residential corner of Whitby where this cottage sits. The town centre and harbour are under five minutes' walk away, putting you close to the train and bus station, the seafood restaurants along the waterfront, and Whitby Abbey on the clifftop. You can spend an afternoon wandering the steep cobbled streets and antique shops, or walk to the beach. The cottage itself has a small courtyard with garden furniture, bike storage, and on-road parking. No smoking inside.
It suits two people wanting a base for exploring Whitby's maritime history and coast without the fuss of a hotel, or anyone who wants to cook for themselves in a quiet corner of town.

What guests say
Had an amazing stay at this little gem of a cottage. Spotlessly clean and extremely stylishly decorated. The welcome pack contained high quality goodies. The bed was so comfortable we always looked forward to returning after a day around Whitby. We highly recommend this beautiful cottage in a great location close to the harbour. Adam and Andrew
