Serendipity

Serendipity is a two-bedroom lodge sleeping up to six, set on Goosewood Holiday Park just outside York. The whole property is yours alone, and it arrives ready for a holiday: electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and WiFi are all included. One dog is welcome and stays free. The owner has equipped the kitchen thoroughly—gas hob and oven, microwave, fridge-freezer and coffee machine—so you can cook what you want rather than rely on takeaways. A travel cot and highchair are available if needed.

Everything is on the ground floor, accessed via three steps to the entrance. The open-plan living space combines a sitting area with Sky TV, Smart TV and Xbox, an electric fire, and a dining zone that seats four. Bedroom one has a double bed; bedroom two has two singles. The shower room includes a heated towel rail. Outside, a hot tub for six sits on the decking with seating and views across countryside. A BBQ and garden furniture are provided, and you have private parking for two cars.

The holiday park itself opens its shared swimming pool from March to December (10:00–17:00), with changing and shower facilities on-site. No smoking is permitted in the property. York's historic centre and surrounding North Yorkshire are within reach for days out.
