Daisy Cottage is a single-storey semi-detached property sleeping four in Strensall, a village on the River Foss with three pubs, shops and takeaways within walking distance. York itself lies seven miles away by regular bus, where the minster, Viking Centre and Railway Museum are among the main draws. The Vale Of York Country Park and Manor Park are nearby for outdoor time. Strensall Common, a large conservation area, is on the doorstep and popular with birdwatchers and walkers.
The cottage spreads across one floor with an open-plan living space that includes a wood burner, 32-inch smart TV and built-in sound system. The kitchen is equipped for self-catering with electric oven, hob, dishwasher and washing machine. One bedroom has a kingsize bed; the other has two single beds. The bathroom holds a corner bath, walk-in shower and heated towel rail. Essentials like electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are covered. The kitchen also has initial logs for the burner provided. Outside, a patio with garden furniture opens from the dining area, and a six-person hot tub sits on the decking. Bike storage and private parking are available. No smoking inside.

This was our second visit and for longer. We love it. The cottages are amazing, fully equipped and a lovely welcome hamper. The location is perfect for visiting surrounding towns and of course York. Loads of supermarkets nearby. If you want an amazing quiet extremely comfortable place to stay with the added luxury of the hot tub, Hoxne Cottages is the place to come. Thanks for everything Tony, we will be back!

Had a lovely stay at Daisy Cottage for the weekend for one of our friends 40th. Great cottage with lovely small courtyard with hot tub. Only 10 min walk into village to the pub and a couple of shops (tesco express). 15 min taxi ride into york. Would definately recommend and will be returning. Thank you

We have just spent the Easter bank holiday weekend at the cottages for the daughter’s hen party The cottages are absolutely fantastic. Very modern and to a high standard. Everything you needed was there. The owner even set up a long table in one of the Cottage so that we were all able to eat together, a real thoughtful touch . There was also a lovely welcome basket in all the cottages as well another great touch. The hot tub was a great bonus also. Would highly recommend these cottages.

This was our 3rd or 4th stay at Hoxne Cottages, the fact we keep coming back speaks for itself. The place itself is very clean and comfortable. The hot tub is amazing. It’s so quiet which makes it perfect for relaxing and chilling out. It’s in a good location about 10 mins from Monks Cross retail park and 20 mins from York itself. Tony the owner was so accommodating with helping to put some balloons up and taking delivery for me, this was a big thank you and helped to make my mums birthday weekend even more special. As always will definitely be returning.
