About Goosewood Holiday Park
Goosewood sits in mature woodland at Sutton-on-the-Forest, six miles north of York and an easy drive from the A1237 ring road. Pitches are cut into the trees around a small lake, giving the whole site a sheltered, private feel you rarely find on the flat open-field parks typical of the Vale of York. Around a hundred touring pitches are well spaced and marked, all with metered ten-amp electric hook-ups and hardstanding as standard; a handful also have water and drainage, and some look directly onto the water.
Facilities are strong for a park this size. A leisure complex added in recent years has a heated indoor pool (charged separately at around five pounds for adults, three pounds fifty for children, with discounts for guests staying on site), a clubhouse with bar, bistro and games area, an outdoor play area, shop and laundry. Seasonal coarse fishing is available on the lake for those who bring rods. Dogs are welcome—two per booking—with a dedicated exercise area and dog shower. The combination of pool, playground and clubhouse makes this the obvious choice around York for families with younger children, particularly in a wet week when having somewhere indoors matters. Beningbrough Hall, Castle Howard and the Howardian Hills are all within twenty to thirty minutes by car.

Lovely caravan park. Pitched tourers, statics and a handful of cabins. Kid friendly with a park, small ball games court, a pool for use of residents and a well looked after clubhouse. It has a small lake and there is an abundance of geese, ducks and other birds that live here and they're usually like a welcoming committee hoping for some snacks when you arrive lol. Fab place called The Web/Web adventures near by (10 mins), for a child friendly, family day out and York itself, not far after that. Friendly, safe, reasonably quiet, beautiful, pretty calm, nice place to be. Love it here.

Outstanding 👏 👍 new favourite 😍 place to go, the whole family loved it. Staff are great. The park is super clean and tidy modern toilets and showers. Lovely swimming pool it's a 10 out of 10 from me

My Sister&nephew own a static in this site. I had the greatest most soul reviving 4 day break at Goosewood Holiday Park. The wardens are very approachable and very helpful. I was absolutely well relaxed the whole time l spent there. The peace and quietness of the Static area was Cathartic and restful. I would highly recommend this site as a peaceful relaxing break away from the hectic life. The staff are very friendly and approachable m. Thank you for an awesome peaceful and soul reviving 4 days break. *******
