The Genoa Suite at Whitehall
North Yorkshire
Photo: Google Maps
Whitby's upper harbour sits directly below Whitehall, a Georgian mansion on the east side of town, making it an obvious choice for anyone wanting to explore the coast without the fuss of finding somewhere to leave the car. The Genoa Suite occupies two floors of this period building, with a designated parking space at street level. A scenic walk along the water leads into the heart of town, where traditional pubs and fish and chip shops line the route; the whole walk takes minutes on foot.
The property is a duplex with one double bedroom upstairs, along with a shower room, and a second living room with a sofa bed on the ground floor. Downstairs too is the main open-plan space, where a large bay window overlooks the harbour and frames the dining and living areas. The kitchen is equipped for self-catering, with a gas hob and electric oven among other essentials. Wi-Fi, heating, linen and towels are included; there is space for a travel cot and highchair if needed. No smoking throughout.
Whitby itself draws visitors for its working harbour, fish market, literary connections and surrounding walks along the Yorkshire coast. The town's restaurants, galleries and museums are all within a ten-minute stroll from Whitehall's entrance.
