The Smugglers Den is a ground-floor apartment in Redcar, on the North Yorkshire coast. It sleeps two in a double bedroom, with a shower room, combined living and dining space, and a kitchen equipped for self-catering. Parking is on site, and the essentials—heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi—are all included.
The apartment opens onto a front garden with seating, a useful spot for morning tea or evening downtime. Inside, the living area has sofas and a TV; the kitchen has an electric hob and oven for proper cooking rather than reheating. The bedroom is a straightforward double with an additional chair. Redcar's town centre and seafront are within easy reach on foot, and Sainsbury's Local is nearby for top-ups on supplies. Dogs stay free, and the whole space is yours alone during your stay.
This suits couples wanting a quiet base for exploring the coast without fuss. No smoking is permitted in the property.

Nicely decorated bar with a wee courtyard out the back too. A couple of decent cask offerings but the keg/craft is your bang average mass produced stuff. Nice friendly staff.

Great pub! Me and my family always visit when me and my partner come home for the weekend. Owner and staff are lovely, definitely one of our favorites. Great drinks and pool table too!

Very friendly place to have a drink and chat. Lovely staff, small rooms and some great beer and stout.

We popped in here for a pint on a very wet Saturday and loved the place. The manager was really friendly and helpful. The building is quirky but not so much that it's not for for purpose and is the sort of place I would love to spend my weekends by a fire drinking with friends. We particularly loved the faux barrel fronts for the cask beers behind the bar. The location is great with a decent sized free car park a couple of minutes walk away. Three real ales on, all of which were from three brothers. If I had one minor suggestion it would be to maybe have two Three Brothers on permanently and have a rotating guest ale (because obviously this would suit me more 🤣). Overall a thoroughly great experience and one will are looking to repeat, but when I'm not driving, in the very near future. Can't recommend you trying this place enough if you are nearby or passing ... Especially if you love your ale and some quirky surroundings.
