About Overdale Guest House
Overdale Guest House suits couples and adults travelling without children who want a quiet, traditional base on Prospect Hill, within reach of Whitby Abbey and the town's other attractions. The Victorian house has a country-chic feel, with a cosy dining room that sets a warm tone for the start or end of the day.
Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, drinks provided, and garden views, and the property offers free WiFi, 24 hour reception, luggage storage and a laundry service, so practical needs are well covered. Free on-site parking is a genuine plus in a town where space can be tight.
Whitby's wider draws are close by, with walking and cycling routes, golf, fishing and watersports all accessible from the area, along with pubs, bars and restaurants for evenings out. It's a straightforward, comfortable choice for an adults-only break in North Yorkshire.

This is our second time staying this year. Jayne & Keith are a lovely couple. We've stayed in 3 different rooms over the years, all beautifully decorated. It's a short walk into the main town, off street parking which is a bonus. Lots of nice pubs & places to eat. We can't wait to go back next year.

We stayed here three times now and every time has been great. The rooms are spacious and clean, the guesthouse is a short walking distance from Whitby centre and the owners are really friendly.

We absolutely adored our stay at Overdale, we were lucky enough to stay in the garden lodge, which I couldn’t recommend more!! My mum and her boyfriend stayed in another room and both of us couldn’t recommend this place more! Keith and Jayne are absolute salt of the earth and their hotel reflect that! If you are going to Whitby, Overdale Is the place!!
