About Border Forest Caravan Park
Tucked beside a babbling burn with direct access to Kielder Forest and the Pennine Way, Border Forest Caravan Park is a wonderfully peaceful base for walkers, cyclists and wildlife-watchers exploring Northumberland's remote uplands. The small, family-run site feels amicable and unhurried, with clean facilities including free hot showers and washing-up areas, plus hardstanding electric pitches. Dogs are welcome year-round, making this a favourite for canine adventurers keen on forest trails and wild swimming spots.
The quiet, club-free atmosphere suits those seeking tranquillity over entertainment, though do pack midge repellent for summer evenings. Nearby Otterburn village offers a café, pubs and shops, while the surrounding landscape delivers spectacular scenery and excellent mountain biking, climbing and fishing. A small, welcoming site that punches well above its weight for outdoor access.

What visitors say
Beautiful site with stunning views and a wilderness to walk your dog. Plenty opportunities to let your dog off lead away from any hazards. Beautiful river to enjoy or fish etc. Site has all the necessary amenities and is clean and well maintained. I tend to go there for New Year and it can get very cold, icy and has had snow last year too. Only thing to mention is that the water supply to the touring area freezes so is switched off in winter months, water can be obtained from top of site. I have a motorhome so just took a drive up when I needed to fill up, just be prepared for this, however, it is not a hardship at all. Owners are so lovely and nothing is a bother to them. Site is approx 14 miles from Keilder and approx 16 miles from Jedburgh.
