The Stable at Longhoughton Hall is an 18th-century conversion built from local golden stone, set within the grounds of the hall near the Northumberland coast. Originally a working stable, it has been transformed into a single-level property with all rooms on the ground floor. Large windows now fill what were once the entrance gates for farm horses, flooding the open-plan living space with light. Original roof timbers remain visible overhead, and a wood burner provides warmth for cooler evenings.
The layout comprises two bedrooms and two bathrooms. One bedroom has a zip-and-link super king bed with its own ensuite shower; the other contains two single beds served by a separate bathroom with bath and shower. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, with electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher and washing machine. A wood burner sits in the living area alongside a Smart TV. Wi-Fi, bed linen, towels and heating are included.
Outside, there are two patios, a fire pit and a barbecue, plus storage for bikes or equipment. The location puts you four miles from Alnwick, where Alnwick Castle and its formal gardens are major draws. Sugar Sands beach, with views toward Dunstanburgh Castle, is within reach for a walk. The property does not permit smoking.
