Friarystone Cottage
Northumberland
Friarystone Cottage is a single-storey detached house sleeping six, laid out with bedrooms, bathrooms and living spaces all on the ground floor. The main bedroom has a kingsize bed and ensuite shower; two further bedrooms contain a double and two singles respectively. A second bathroom serves the rest of the property. The living room has a television and DVD player, while the kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, with electric oven and hob, dishwasher, and all the usual appliances. A utility room houses a washing machine and tumble dryer. There's also a sun room for quieter moments.
Outside, an enclosed lawned garden wraps around the property with patio furniture and a barbecue, and parking for three cars on site. The cottage stands just a short walk from Bamburgh village centre, where the castle dominates the coastline above miles of sand. Seahouses harbour, a couple of miles away, runs boat trips to the Farne Islands in season. Inland, Alnwick with its castle and water gardens is within easy driving distance, and the Northumberland National Park offers walking country in all directions. The shops are a quarter-mile away. Wifi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included; a travel cot and highchair are available on request. No smoking throughout.
