Walking into Oswin Cottage, you step straight into a ground-floor living room with freeview television. One step down brings you to the kitchen and dining space, where a cooking range sits ready to use; there's also a small sun room at the back. The bathroom and both bedrooms are upstairs—the first a double bed, the second with two singles. A shower room completes the layout. Essentials including bed linen, towels, heating and Wi-Fi are provided, along with a washing machine and dishwasher for longer stays.

The cottage sits in Alnwick's town centre, within walking distance of independent shops, restaurants and pubs. The Co-op is just 100 yards away. Four miles east, the Heritage Coastline's sandy beaches are accessible by car, while westward lie the Cheviot Hills. Alnwick Castle and its gardens—the latter featuring Europe's largest tree house—are local draws. The property has an enclosed patio with garden furniture and on-road parking outside. Children under three cannot be accommodated, and smoking is not permitted.
