Spindle Well Barn
Northumberland
Spindle Well Barn sits on a 650-acre working farm within Northumberland National Park, giving you a genuine rural setting rather than a manicured retreat. The converted barn is compact but complete: a ground-floor open-plan living space with a wood burner and 32" TV, a kitchen with electric oven and hob, one double bedroom, and a shower room. Everything is on one level, reached by a single step from the entrance. Electricity, wi-fi, bed linen and towels are included; logs for the burner cost £4 per basket beyond the initial supply.
The property suits couples only, with a lawned garden, sitting-out area and private parking for one car. Footpaths lead directly from the door into the surrounding countryside, and you are positioned within the Northumberland Dark Sky Park, making it worthwhile bringing binoculars or a telescope. Kielder Forest and its observatory lie within reach, as does the Heritage Coast to the east. Elsdon village has a local pub a short drive away. Bellingham, 9 miles off, has wider shops and services. The barn has a natural water supply from a spring on the property.
