The Cottage

Howick Hall Gardens and its arboretum sit minutes away, making them an easy first stop from The Cottage. Alnmouth Beach is walkable or a short drive, known locally for its wide sands and estuary views across to St Cuthbert's Cross. Alnwick itself—the market town with its castle and the independent bookseller Barter Books—is close enough for a morning or afternoon out. The area suits people after straightforward coastal access, countryside walks, and a quieter base than a busier resort.

This is a one-bedroom, one-bathroom cottage on a single level, sleeping two. The living and dining spaces share a room with a woodburner and smart TV; the kitchen has an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, and washing machine. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and electricity are included; logs for the stove are provided initially, with more available locally. There is a private garden with seating, bike storage, and parking for two cars. The cottage does not allow smoking.
