Wagtail Cottage

Wagtail Cottage suits couples or small families after a quiet base in a working village. The terraced property has two bedrooms—one double, one with singles—and one bathroom, sleeping four. A woodburner warms the living room, and the kitchen is fitted for proper cooking: electric oven, gas hob, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine all present. Bed linen, towels, heating and wi-fi are covered. There's a travel cot, highchair and stairgate if needed.

The rear patio overlooks a garden and works well for evening wind-downs. One parking space comes with the property, plus additional on-street options. Lesbury itself sits quietly inland, but Alnmouth—a village of painted houses, tea rooms, pubs and a sandy beach—is a two-mile riverside walk away. Alnwick Castle and its formal gardens lie four miles inland; Warkworth, with castle ruins and riverside paths, is similarly close. Amble harbour, further on, has a Sunday market and fish-and-chip shops on the quay. Dogs are welcome. No smoking indoors.
