The Old Rectory Cottages - Stable Cottage
Northumberland
Wark sits on the edge of Northumberland National Park, surrounded by countryside that opens onto walking country. The Pennine Way passes just over a mile away, and from here you can reach Hexham, Corbridge, Hadrian's Wall, Kielder Water and the coast without much effort. The village itself, half a mile off, has shops and pubs.
Stable Cottage is a converted stone building that retains its original character. It has two bedrooms (one double, one twin), a bathroom, and a ground-floor living space where the woodburner becomes the focus. The kitchen is properly equipped for self-catering, with an electric cooker, dishwasher and everything else you'd need. An external utility room (shared with the other cottage on-site) has a washing machine and tumble dryer. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and heating are included; logs for the burner come with your stay.
You have your own enclosed garden with seating, private parking and a bike store. The property is non-smoking and sleeps four. A second identical cottage on the grounds can be booked separately if you need more space.
