The Old Stables is a single-storey stone cottage on the edge of Rothbury, with all living spaces on the ground floor. You walk into a sitting room with a 55-inch smart TV and wood burner, then through to a kitchen and dining area with a full set of appliances including dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. One bedroom has a king bed, the other two singles. The bathroom has a spa bath with shower over and its own smart TV. One dog stays free of charge.
Essentials like electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are covered, and logs for the burner are provided. There is private parking for two cars on site. The cottage is a fifteen-minute walk from Rothbury's town centre, where you will find pubs, cafés, restaurants and an independent butcher. The River Coquet runs through the area and is good for fishing; the Simonside Hills rise nearby for walking, and Cragside House (a National Trust property with gardens) is close by. Alnwick Castle lies a short drive over the moor. The property does not allow smoking.
